Soil Bed sat in the centre of the gallery at the School of Creative Arts, University of Windsor. Participants were asked to bring a soil sample from a contested site in need of remediation which may have real or perceived contamination. Portions of the soil samples from participants were added to the the bed of soil and displayed in test tubes. Through experimental gestures, actions, and exchanges artists and participants were invited to engage with the soil as a symbolic or actual step towards remediation.
