Portfolio > Orphan Well Adoption Agency

The Orphan Well Adoption Agency (OWAA) is dedicated to finding caretakers for orphan oil and gas wells in Alberta. Last year, the OWAA began investigating new methods of remediation through dowsing. Dark forces inhabiting these sites emerge in the form of neckties. Visit the Orphan Well Adoption Agency website for more information: www.orphanwelladoptionagency.com

Thank you to Canada Council for the Arts, Paul Vasseur, Karl Zajes, and Bernie Schell of the Alberta Surface Rights Federation. In Blood and Bone is an exhibition that asks how dowsing might shift our relationships to natural resources, technology, and place, while examining remediation, care, and the reliability of information.
