Portfolio > Inner End (Bark Beetle Paths)

A series of drawings of beetle bark pathways found in Canadian firewood. The map-like pathways are made by an invasive species of wood-boring beetle. The beetles carry a fungus that spreads throughout the tree, disrupting the flow of nutrients until the tree dies.

Revealing links between ecological and economic systems, this series aims to produce images that question notions of progress and growth.
